Poverty in Calderdale

This conference will help all people in Calderdale to understand the problems of poverty locally and to increase our input into the lives of those in need in our community.  The aim is to increase the number of volunteers working with the excellent groups supporting people locally

This conference will be held at the Kings Centre, Halifax on the 6^th Oct 2012 from 9.30am – 1pm with an opportunity to talk to people and services working locally afterwards

Our hope is to develop and host this in conjunction with the other faith groups in Calderdale

At this stage we would welcome photos from interested parties highlighting what poverty in Calderdale means to them

We wish to leave to choice of images as open as possible to those taking the images.  However please note the general rules on the Calderdale Methodist Circuit website www.calderdalemethodists.org.uk   Especially those regarding permissions and consent – images supplied that do not have these consents cannot be used.

The aim is to use these images before, during and after the day to highlight the situation locally.
