Members of the Halifax Boys’ Brigade will get to have their own Diamond Jubilee Party over the Jubilee weekend. In true Brigade style the lads will go away on a special Diamond Jubilee weekend camp to Easingwold where they will spend the weekend participating in a number of different activities along with a special Jubilee Meal to celebrate the Queens Diamond Jubilee.

The Boys’ Brigade would like to thank the Diamond Jubilee Fund for making this happen. Alex Brownridge has been planning the camp for a very long time and everything is set to go. He said – the site is great, we’ve got loads of activities lined up, the lads are ready to go, all we need now is a bit of sun and we’re laughing’.

He added that the weekend will have a mixture of old and new ideas with some activities being seen as standard camping activities, where as some of the activities have come from suggestions from the lads and we’ve decided to give them ago and see what happens.
