The canal volunteers will be returning to Mearclough on the Calder & Hebble Navigation on Friday 30^th March, to complete the clean-up started there last month – preparing towpath accesses for wildflower and bulb planting, and painting benches and clearing litter back towards the Wharf. This will form part of efforts towards the Yorkshire in Bloom Spring Judging, taking place Tuesday 3 April – when the Judges will tour the canalside as part of their visit to Sowerby Bridge. All welcome, for all or part-day.

Meet 10am on towpath at junction of Walker Lane and Canal Road, bringing lunch if staying for day. Old clothing and sturdy footwear advised. Car parking near the Waste Disposal site. More information from Lucy.Dockray@britishwaterways.co.uk
