Community Foundation for Calderdale is pleased to launch the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Fund. The Diamond Jubilee is a magnificent anniversary and a once in a lifetime event – only one other British monarch has ever celebrated a Diamond Jubilee (Queen Victoria back in 1897).
The Fund will provide grants to constituted groups organising events in Calderdale to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee in 2012. There are two levels of grants: Grants of £100 – £900 are available for street parties and local events taking place throughout the Diamond Jubilee year (two groups’ applications have already been successful – we are keen to receive further applications from constituted groups large and small who wish to celebrate this historic event).
A one-off grant of up to £5,000 is available for a large Diamond Jubilee event targeting the whole of Calderdale – Please Note that all applications for this larger grant must be received by 1st March 2012 Calderdale Council, in association with the Lord Lieutenant, has produced a guide to Diamond Jubilee events – for a copy click here.
