Planning the future of your neighbourhood:

FREE whole day seminar on 29 March Neighbourhood 2012

Plans provide local communities with the chance to shape their areas in the way they want (subject to certain requirements) and in a form that becomes a statutory part of the Council’s Local Development Framework, i.e. a plan with teeth but such plans involve quite complex processes, together with considerable work and commitment on the part of local communities to make them a reality. In order to help Calderdale’s communities unpick Neighbourhood Plans, understand them better and work out whether they want to go ahead and do one, Planning Aid England is running a free, day-long ‘Are You Neighbourhood Plan Fit’ seminar on Thursday 29 March 2012, 10am – 4pm at Heath Training Centre Halifax. Places are limited, so please book early. If we have too many people for too few places, we will run another session at a later date. Please email hci@calderdale.gov.uk to register your interest in this event or ring Halifax Central Initiative on 01422 365948.
