Sunday 26^th February Sowerby Bridge canal volunteers will be working with British Waterways and Calder Future this Sunday to undertake a Big Spring Clean-up of the canal and riverside at Mearclough Bridge (near the Waste Disposal site). Volunteers will be working to clear the litter and overgrown vegetation which currently blights this popular spot. All welcome – especially students, on the final day of national Student Volunteering Week. Tools provided. Meet on the towpath, Mearclough Bridge, 10am in old clothes and sturdy footwear.
