At Halifax Unity we have a busy calendar of events and sessions open to all.
Sessions take place in our space on the corner of Queens Road and Hanson Lane; most are offered free or for pay-as-you-feel donations

Regular sessions include:
Women’s Boxfit, Fridays 10.00 -12.00 and Saturdays 10.30- 12.00. Fun fitness session for women only. Wear comfortable clothes and trainers. No experience needed, just come along and enjoy!
Community Dance, Tuesdays 6.30-8.30pm. Balfolk is a set of dances originating in Europe, which provides a sense of community. It is inclusive of people of all ages and levels of fitness. You’re welcome to come alone, or with a friend. Classes are beginner-friendly and offered on a donation basis. Everyone, shy or outgoing, is sure to find a safe and enjoyable place for themselves in the dancing and in the company of others.
Advocacy drop-in, Tuesdays 10.00- 1.00. If you are having problems accessing help or services, or don’t know how to solve a problem, drop in for a cup of tea and some support and advice.
Mum’s coffee morning/ Community living room on alternate Thursdays, 10.00-12.00, for a chat and a cuppa. Chocolate has a Name, Saturday 11th May and Saturday 8th June 6-8pm. Join us for a special storytelling session presented by Adelle, creator of ‘The Guardian of Hands’ art installation. We’re hoping to collaborate with Stand up to Racism to explore the intersections of colonialism and climate change, fostering dialogue and connections with our community through the story of chocolate
Mothers United, an exciting new project in Calderdale bringing together mothers from lands in conflict. We will create a piece of social theatre sharing stories of how these conflicts have affected our lives. Information session Wednesday 1st May 11.30 – 1.00, then regular sessions on Mondays from 13th May, 10am – 4pm.
