We Dare To Dream: Film Screening and Live Q&A

Join us for a special evening on Saturday 9th December, in partnership with Friends of Hebden Bridge Picture House, for a Q&A screening of ‘We Dare to Dream‘; a new and compelling documentary directed by Academy Award-nominated and Bafta winner Waad Al-Kateab (For Sama). The film tells the journeys of refugee Olympic athletes from Iran, Syria, South Sudan, and Cameroon, who persevere through adversity to find opportunities and safety in host nations worldwide.

Following the film, we are delighted to welcome director Waad Al-Kateab for a live Q&A

Executive produced by Angelina Jolie and John Legend, and produced by Academy Award winner Joanna Natasegara and Emmy-winning producer Abigail Anketell-Jones, ‘We Dare to Dream’ captures the determination of these extraordinary athletes as they train to compete on the world stage in the 2020 Olympic Games, showcasing the resilience of those forced to rebuild their lives far from home.
