Join our friendly workshop to:

  • Learn together how culture impacts education, health and social care services
  • Share our stories of family life and bringing up disabled children
  • Look at solutions to some of the barriers we face

Understanding more about our workshops:

  • Meet other parent carers from West Yorkshire to interact and share ideas
  • We will hear from Hannah about her experiences of bringing up her son and how her culture has impacted the way she has worked with local services
  • We will discuss health and education inequalities in service provision and support for families
  • Working together with Barnardo’s West Yorkshire Keyworker Service we are looking to listen to stories from families, to find out what the gaps are and how services can be improved
  • We will be reporting back to the West Yorkshire Partnership Board and will let you know what we include in the feedback
