Dec The Rec After securing funding from Groundwork, a transformation is now under way and is expected to be finished late 2016.

Fire and Water : The project has breathed new life in to the old Fire Station and Swimming pool ( hence the name) in Sowerby Bridge.The vision is to create a purpose built venue to provide community training and to house arts, music and cultural events as well as providing space for other community activities. ……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………

Friends of Sowerby Bridge Railway Station :  the ‘Friends of Sowerby Bridge Railway Station’, a voluntary group set up in November 2010 to improve the gateway to the town.

Reach Out Over 50’s Club: Reach Out is a community group based in Sowerby Bridge,  they run a programme of fun and healthy activities every Friday, based at St Paul’s Methodist Church Tower Hill Sowerby Bridge

Memory Lane: Dementia Cafe : The Memory Lane Café is run by local people, and supports those living in Sowerby Bridge and the surrounding area with some form of memory loss.

Ryburn Valley Greenway Project :The project aims to create a safe and easy cycling, walking and riding route connecting Sowerby Bridge, Ripponden and Rishworth. The aim is to build a fully accessible Greenway on the disused railway line running from Sowerby Bridge to Rishworth.
