Mental Health Awareness and Combatting Loneliness

This week is Mental Health Awareness Week,  and this year’s theme for the week is loneliness. Never before has it been more important to give mental ill health the time it deserves and break down the stigmas associated with this devastating and destructive illness that so many of us suffer with.

Active Calderdale Survey

Active Calderdale is gathering information on physical activity habits, and opinions on how the local area can influence people to be more active. They’ll use this information to make sure that their work targets the people who need it most, to tackle inequalities in Calderdale. Please complete and share the survey as below:

Calderdale Dementia Hub

Calderdale Dementia Hub is looking for people living with dementia who might be interested in joining their DEEP involvement group. The group will help to ensure services and information across Calderdale is accessible for people with dementia, and to influence change. It’s also an opportunity for people with dementia to talk about what is important to them.

People’s Park Multi Sports Fun Day with Healthy Holidays – 1 June flyer attached

Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Beacon Trail – on until 12th June.

Join in on this FREE, magical augmented reality story-trail.

Located around Halifax town centre are seven magical characters on a day trip from Buckingham Palace. Grab a taste of Market life in Calderdale – 25 – 26 June stall booking information attached

Try out your business idea this June in the low-risk space of a market with the support of the friendly and experienced markets team.

Street food, local produce, handmade crafts…#FLAVOURFEST is the perfect opportunity to sell your wares this June 25/26 June at Calderdale College car park.

Any Calderdale-based food business is able to apply for a market stall, including market stall holders. Priority will be given to businesses based in Park or Warley wards to showcase the area’s enterprising and distinctive nature.

Reduced rates available and further discounts for new traders making it the perfect opportunity for new or potential start-up businesses to get involved and try out a business idea.

Stallholders will be provided with either single or marquee type stalls and counter-top tables. Spaces are also available for catering vehicles and self-build gazebos.

Calderdale Libraries Job Club is back!

Central Library job club returned on Tuesday 3rd May from 10am to 12pm.
