Stay safe this Ramadan and limit mixing as much as possible.
If you’re meeting people outside who are not in your household remember to always stay 2m apart.
If you’re indoors, such as in a shop or a place of worship, and there are people there who you don’t live with, please remember to stay 2m apart and wear a mask. Please continue to self-isolate at home without visitors if you have COVID-19 symptoms or a positive test or are told you are a contact of a case to break the chain of infection.
While some activities will now be able to take place in the mosque, many of us will still largely be observing Ramadan from home this year. The Muslim Council of Britain has produced some guidance to help Muslims gain maximum benefit from the month of fasting and reflection while celebrating safely. You can read this here.
Having an injection during Ramadan does not break the fast, and this includes the COVID-19 vaccination. Please take up the vaccine when it’s offered to you to protect yourself from the serious effects of the virus.
