Bankfield Museum this year will be hosting an amazing exhibition celebrating the costumes of some of Britain’s best loved TV dramas including Downton Abbey, Pride and Prejudice, Poldark, Victoria and many more.
Alongside a new display of historic costumes from similar periods in the Fashion Gallery. The exhibition runs from until and admission is free.
To celebrate this exhibition the Museum will be running several related events in 2020:
From Stitches to Screen This one-day seminar hosted by Calderdale Museums and the Brontë Parsonage Museum, Sunday 28th June, 10.00am – 4.00pm.
A Regency Summer Ball, Join us for an evening of dancing with live music from the famous Pemberley Players. Saturday 1st August, 7.00-11.00pm tickets £45.00 includes cold buffet dinner.
Film Stars & Fashion Plates, presented by History Wardrobe on Friday 4th September, exhibition and museum will be open from 6.00pm; the presentation will begin at 7.30pm. Tickets £12.50 including welcome glass of bubbly.
