Give Walking a Go and Pledge to Try20 this Month

Did you know that this month is National Walking Month. Living Streets is asking the nation to give walking a go and pledge to #Try20. They’re challenging you to see if you can walk 20 minutes every day throughout the month.

There are lots of easy ways to fit walking into your day – at work, once you clock off, with your family and at the weekend so you can walk your way to happiness this May.

The Halifax Charity Gala Saturday 9 June 2018

Don’t forget it’s the 2018 Halifax Charity Gala on, Saturday 9 June at Manor Heath Park.

See the procession snake through the town centre before heading to Manor Heath park for a fun packed day with entertainments in the arena and many local charities bringing their fun ideas to the park to raise money and entertain the family. Many activities are aimed for the family so everything can enjoy the day. Gates open at 11:00am.

Advance tickets are available for just £2 each and are available online or from many outlets across Halifax.

Prices on the day are £4 for adults, concessions (OAP and children 5-16 – under 5’s are free) £2.

A family ticket can be bought for £10.
