Have Your Say! Wheelchair Service for Calderdale

Calderdale Lower Valley

Calderdale and KIrklees CCGs need your help to design a future service. They invite you to two events to help them do this. The two events will be held in one central location ‘The Holiday Inn’, Clifton Village, West Yorkshire, Brighouse, HD6 4HW and they would like your support to attend one or both events.

The first event is on Friday 11 May, 9:45am-2:30pm. This event is about sharing what people have already told us about wheelchair services, looking at these findings and making sure we have not missed anything. The second one is on Friday 20 July, 9:45am -12:15pm. This follow up event is about looking at our proposed model of service and hearing your views about this.

You can register to attend the event using the online link or scanning the QR code (for registration by mobile) below. Or by printing off the

Better later than never…Junior Warden Easter Egg Hunt

beechhilleaster.jpgThe rain held off  just long enough for our community wardens and HCI team to host a Easter Egg quiz with the Junior wardens from Beech Hill School, Halifax. The reschedules hunt took place in People’s Park on Wednesday afternoon with 30 of our junior wardens. The children loved running around the park and were fascinated by the history that sits right on their doorstep! The children were spilt into 6 teams and our staff lead the children round the park to complete the 15 questions.

The children were then presented each with a Easter Egg. Unfortunately our other Junior wardens from Christ Church School in Sowerby Bridge were unable to join us, so Jonny and Zameer went into school to present the children before the chocolate was eaten by our staff . An egg-cellent time was had by all!
