Support St Augustine’s – Refugee week 19 – 25 June

Refugee week is a UK-wide programme of arts, cultural and educational events and activities that celebrates the contribution of refugees to the UK and promotes better understanding of why people seek sanctuary. staugslogo

To mark this, the Mayor’s Charity, St Augustine’s Centre is hosting a fundraising get together at Pellon Social Club on Friday 16 June, featuring the Peace Works Ceilidh. There will be food, a raffle, stalls as well as dancing. £8.00 adults, £5.00 concessions and £15.00 for families.

Healthy Living Gym at Queen’s Road temporary closure

The Healthy Living Gym, based at Queens Road Neighbourhood Centre, Halifax will be closed for refurbishment from Wednesday 7 June 2017. It is expected to be closed for 6-8 weeks and members have been advised.  Any queries, please call 01422 363953

Southowram Scarecrow Festival 2017

This year the Southowram Scarecrow Festival will be taking place on the 814222102_1788497538102225_2873108268590309391_nth and 9th July. This years theme is going to be ‘sport’. Registration of scarecrows is £3 and is now open at SAM’s, Bank Top and Village News, Towngate.
